But I got caught up with the local Salt River Wild Horse protection/preservation effort, and then with some other family commitments added into the mix, the daily birds and everything else just kind of fell by the wayside.
In the interim, I've also begun to wonder if, in a world of tweets and texts and instantly-instant everything, blogs such as this can still claim much of a place?
I find myself checking my favorite blogs less often, because they seem to be updated much less frequently than they were a year or two ago. Maybe others are feeling some of the same uncertainty.
The whole thing makes me sad.
More and more, it feels like you have to participate at warp speed if you're going to participate at all. And I'm way too old for warp speed.
So for now, I'll continue here at my own sloggy pace, and see where that takes me.
It's been a great experience, blogging, so part of me hates to let it go. But maybe it needs to evolve. I'll have to ponder that possibility.
