Luckily I'd left my camera on the kitchen table, so I was able to quickly catch some photos of this beauty (through the window) when it landed outside by the pool. We rarely get kingbirds in our yard, but for a little while today we had two. Wish they'd stick around!
Update: originally I posted this as a Western Kingbird, but after consulting the experts on the Birding Arizona & the Southwest FB page, I learned it is more likely a Cassin's Kingbird, which is a first for me! Cassin's is darker gray and has a more pronounced white throat than the Western.
