What was surprising was how hard it was to spot! A fellow birder had seen this bird a few days earlier, so I went there looking for it. You wouldn't think of B&W as camouflage but it actually was, against the dark gray mesquite trunk and in the mix of light & shadows.And it stayed for just a minute.
