Another striking bird & flower color combo -- a gila woodpecker on a yellow aloe spike.
The only yellow a gila woodpecker sports is on its lower tummy, but that's exactly the unusual view I got.
And aren't these yellows smartly accented by the gila's timelessly fashionable black and white stripes?
What a great way to start a day where we're expecting 4-6 inches of snow . . . you're having so much fun with that new camera, and we're getting so spoiled! Thanks for the hefty dose of beauty.
