I've made some good progress posting my DBG photos from the last few weeks(!) on Flickr, but I'm still lagging a few visits behind. Here's a sneak preview from yesterday's DBG visit, not yet on Flickr...
This Green Heron stole his hairdo.
The cactus blooming is finally slowing down, as is the bird migration through Phoenix, so things should soon settle back to their normal "interesting but not frantic" pace.
And as the weather heats up, I'll be spending less time at the DBG and (hopefully) more time with my sewing machine.
Meanwhile, you can find my updated DBG slideshow here, or click through the photos manually here.
This is a heron I don't think we get in MN -- very cool! And as much as I LOVE your photos, you know I can't wait to see what comes out of that magic sewing machine of yours.

Possibly you do get these... this Rod Stewart heron look is atypical, caused by us "birders" startling him. Usually Green Herons are quite well groomed & proper looking. They are much smaller than the Great Blues... more like a goose size at most.
I have some sewing ideas percolating... not entirely original, but variations on some creative stripe constructions.
Or maybe I'll ask your Hannah to e-tutor me on freestyle machine stitch sketching. She has an awesome talent for it... I'm so envious of her skills!
