So lovely! And you know I loved that photo to begin with. What a cool mixture of materials and techniques. I could learn a lot -- since I started focusing on what I'm doing now, I've sort of stopped experimenting with all the new things going on out there. Only so many hours in the day. I was very interested in the prospect of fusing paper to interfacing.

The Mixed Media Collage book describes McCartney's process in great detail. She prints a lot of her own papers, but I've had great luck so far fusing the nicer scrapbook weight papers currently available. McCartney does both machine and hand sewing and does some bead and button embellishment too. Just wish she had a website/blog so I could follow her work more often!

Wish I could discipline myself to just focus on one process for a long time, but it seems I'm incurably distractable... a maker of much, master of none. But it's all fun!
